Rakesh Sharma Farmhouse
This farmhouse was to be built within a grid of 25′ x 25′ of existing teak trees within the site. And thus the form of the building shaped up to be a linear block shaped among the trees. The clients required a large swimming and an outdoor party space, which shaped up the swimming pool to sit 150′ wide parallely along the building block. The ground floor had all the public spaces while the first floor being private, the bedroom was placed there. A large balcony extends towards the pool side covering the deck below. The idea behind placing the pool parallel to the house was that, each space from the house gets the view of it. The vertical frame over the pool connects balances the over-all proportion of the house and creating a frame into the extended views of the site.
